In 2000 God placed a desire on the heart of Shaun and Daisy Garman to plant a new church in the downtown corridor of St Johns. It would be a church that spoke the gospel powerfully, loved the community, and engaged the culture in a relevant way. The church was officially formed Dec. 19, 2002 in the Garman's home.
The new church quickly outgrew their home and moved into the St Johns theatre. The early years of he church were filled with new faces and ministry to the surrounding community.
In 2006 the church was able to move into a vacant church building and call it home. This building allowed the church to establish itself in the community and reach many more people.
In 2009 God began to work again in the Garman's heart to plant again and in the summer of 2011 they along with a group of Red Sea families moved to Ventura, CA to plant Seed Church.
At the time of the Garman's departure Red Sea had established an elder body that stepped in and continued to lead the church in accomplishing its mission. Today God is working powerfully in Red Sea to make disciples who Draw to Christ, Develop in Community, and Deploy to Culture.
